Mental Health Social Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a Mental Health Social Worker to join our team in Bendigo, Victoria.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will provide evidence-based senior Social Work services to consumers and carers within the clinical specialty areas. This includes conducting social work assessments, interventions, and evaluations at an advanced practice level for complex and general caseloads.

  • Prioritize and delegate duties for your caseload and supervised caregivers.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of the Social Work Service and Clinical Specialty.
  • Ensure effective multidisciplinary teamwork through professional communication and liaison with colleagues, consumers, carers, and service providers.
  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and information systems.
  • Engage in reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
  • Support the Social Work service by communicating issues and ideas for service enhancement to the Social Work Coordinator.

The ideal candidate will have senior clinical experience and leadership in a specialized healthcare practice area, be capable of supervising or mentoring junior staff, and develop evidence-based, innovative clinical practices along with quality improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social Work from a recognized institution.
  • Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
  • Eligibility for Mental Health credentialing.
  • Medicare provider number eligibility.
