Auxiliary Firefighter
About the Role:
Auxiliary firefighters play a vital role in supporting emergency services in crisis situations. They assist with fire and rescue operations, promote community safety, and contribute to incident reporting and general station administration.
Main Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency incidents as part of a team, ensuring timely intervention and effective management of crises.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education activities, enhancing public awareness and engagement.
- Develop and maintain competencies by participating in regular drills and training courses, staying up-to-date with industry best practices.
- Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training, demonstrating commitment to excellence and accountability.
Key Requirements:
- Obtain employer consent to attend incidents and emergencies, adhering to organizational protocols.
- Reside or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station, facilitating prompt response and efficient operations.
- Possess Australian Permanent Resident Status, meeting essential criteria for role suitability.
- Hold a Manual C Class driver's license, enabling safe transportation during emergency responses.
