Operations Supervisor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor to oversee our dry stack tailings operation in Western Australia.

  • Ensure site safety protocols are enforced across all tasks.
  • Supervise mechanical fitters, electricians, and plant operators, setting daily work priorities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to balance maintenance priorities.
  • Maintain operational targets while ensuring plant safety.

A strong leader with technical expertise in fixed plant conveying and stacking is required. You will supervise a team of mechanical fitters, electricians, and plant operators, setting daily work priorities and collaborating with other departments to balance maintenance priorities.

You should be proficient in management systems, spreadsheets, and presentations, and have a strong knowledge of WA mining legislation.

This role requires a proven track record in supervisory experience in similar operations, as well as the ability to manage people objectively and fairly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and address team competency requirements.
  • Work with site trainers to maintain a skilled workforce.
  • Track team performance against KPIs.
  • Contribute to annual budget planning.
  • Oversee subcontractors within your area.
