As a leading services provider in the Defence industry, UGL plays a crucial role in supporting the Australian Defence Force across multiple locations nationwide. Our team's expertise ensures we deliver effectively and sustainably.

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to join our Operations & Maintenance team at the Darwin RAAF Base in NT, working on fuel installation assets and equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the Australia Defence environment and support the national security requirements of the Nation.

As a part of a core crew of UGL technicians, you will be based in Darwin, reporting to a Maintenance Supervisor, with occasional regional travel required. Your duties will include:

  • Performing scheduled maintenance and service of fuel installation assets and equipment
  • Diagnostics and repair in a breakdown environment of fuel related assets and equipment
  • Project work as required on the fuel installation and related assets and equipment
  • Supporting subcontracted work packages as required
  • Supporting various sites in the region, with occasional requirement to travel to different sites throughout NT

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Trade-qualified mechanical experience with relevant post-trade experience
  • Proven experience working in fixed plant maintenance, ideally fuel services or Oil & Gas
  • Experience working within the defence fuels network or defence industry will be highly regarded
  • Confined space and working at heights tickets will be highly valued
  • Safety must be at the forefront of everything you do
  • Current Defence Security Clearance or ability to obtain it

The estimated salary range for this position is $45.57 - $52.55 per hour, plus superannuation and tool allowance, depending on level and qualifications.
