About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Architect to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance systems on the cloud.

In this role, you will leverage your exceptional technical expertise and strong leadership abilities to drive the development of mission-critical software systems. You will guide cross-functional engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions that delight Amazon's customers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with teams to plan and execute engineering programs, software architecture, product policy, and user experience improvements.
  • Contribute to development of requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, metrics, and integration to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Work with Technical Program Managers on release roadmaps and ensure the team is well positioned to support programs.
  • Improve efficiency and implement automation/tools to guide future software efforts.
  • Set expectations with individuals based on their level and role, meet regularly to discuss performance and development, and provide feedback and coaching.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • 7+ years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle.
Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $120,000 and $180,000 depending on location and experience.
