Power System Engineer

As a Power System Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and affordable energy supply to Australians. You will be responsible for planning and operating the power system, including dispatch, outage coordination, and system adequacy assessment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational planning and support
  • Power system engineering, analysis, and modelling
  • Operations Technology
Requirements:
  • Energy power system operations including dispatch, outage coordination, and system adequacy assessment
  • Power system modelling and analysis, e.g. load flow and dynamics in PSS/E, PSCAD, or PowerFactory
  • Detailed understanding of power system plant, including synchronous and inverter-based generation, primary and secondary transmission systems including protection and control systems, as well as distributed energy resources
