Driver Trainer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Trainer to join our team at Kelsian Group. As a Driver Trainer, you will play a critical role in supporting and empowering our bus drivers through structured onboarding, training, and education procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure bus drivers meet safety, appearance, and service standards.
• Conduct regular Verification of Competency (VOC) examinations and Refresher Training to ensure drivers are up-to-date with the latest procedures and protocols.
• Support drivers in achieving improvement objectives and contributing to a positive and productive work environment.
• Collaborate with Operations Coordinators to plan and allocate drivers and vehicles efficiently.
• Provide guidance and support to drivers on route planning, locations, vehicle types, and operational queries.
• Act as a site supervisor and coordinate vehicles, drivers, and passengers during large passenger movements.
• Perform duties as a bus and coach driver as required.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience in a similar role.
• Advanced bus/coach driving capabilities and expertise.
• Minimum Certificate III Training & Assessment or equivalent.
• Western Australian HR Driver's License.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Intermediate computer literacy.
