Assistant Venue Manager Role

The Assistant Venue Manager plays a key role in the overall management of a venue, encompassing restaurant, bar, and function operations.

This senior position oversees the Front of House operational facets of the business, ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and providing exceptional service and quality to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

  • Manage staff, including training, rostering, and on-shift management to optimize team performance.
  • Operate across the venue, driving efficiency and streamlining processes to achieve business objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategies to build sales and revenue while controlling costs, ensuring the business remains competitive and profitable.
  • Adhere to and audit OH&S and Food Hygiene procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Lead by example as a senior restaurant leader, fostering a positive working environment and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Maintain current market knowledge and execute promotional concepts to drive business growth.

Key Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hospitality management experience with a focus on leadership and team development.
  • Exposure to both bar and restaurant environments, with a proven track record of managing multiple areas simultaneously.
  • Experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to motivate, train, and develop a high-performing team.
  • RSA, RSG, TAB Basics & Advanced certification is essential for this role.
  • First aid certificate and Approved Managers Certificate are preferred but not essential.
