Empowering Careers in Child and Family Services

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as a Principal Practitioner. This key role involves supporting the development of our workforce in child and family services, working closely with leaders to embed therapeutic and culturally safe care across programs.

Your primary focus will be on enhancing practice excellence in Children, Youth and Family services across the North and West Division. You will provide expert advice on complex cases, escalate risks, and support staff through reflective practice, case reviews, secondary consultations, and training.

You will play a pivotal role in contributing to impactful outcomes for vulnerable families by focusing on programs like Family Preservation and Reunification, Integrated Family Services, Foster Care and Kinship care.

This position requires strong analytical skills to draw meaningful insights from practice data, identify trends, and recommend improvements at individual, team and system levels. You will also need to demonstrate a collaborative approach, working confidently across teams and disciplines to guide high-quality decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing evidence-based practices that ensure interventions are culturally responsive and trauma-informed.
  • Collaborating with fellow Principal Practitioners to drive meaningful change and elevate the quality of service delivery in the division.
  • Providing coaching and developing staff, leading reflective practice, facilitating training, and providing case consultations.

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of vulnerable families and contribute to a dynamic team. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality services and have a proven track record of success in child and family services, we encourage you to apply.
