The position of Clinical Laboratory Scientist I involves working in a CLIA-certified laboratory, performing testing and participating in quality control, assurance, and troubleshooting activities.

• This role requires handling and processing patient samples, analyzing test results, preparing reports, and maintaining records of test results.

• Maintenance of confidentiality of personal health information (PHI) is also required.

• Candidate must comply with quality control policies and document QC activities, including instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance.

• Identification of problems affecting test performance or results and corrective actions are also essential for this role.

This position includes the following key responsibilities:

• Test Performance and Results

  Performing tests in the CLIA-certified laboratory, analyzing test results, and preparing reports.

• Sample Handling and Processing

  Handling and processing patient samples, maintaining records of test results, and ensuring compliance with quality control policies.

• Confidentiality and Data Protection

  Maintaining confidentiality of personal health information (PHI) and adhering to data protection protocols.

• Quality Control and Assurance

  Documenting QC activities, including instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance, and identifying problems affecting test performance or results.
