Senior Academic Leader

The role of Senior Academic Leader is a critical position within the school, requiring a high degree of leadership and management expertise to support the Principal and contribute to the overall strategic direction of the institution.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the work of senior curriculum or level coordinators to ensure effective implementation of educational programs;
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources to optimize academic outcomes;
  • Oversee the delivery of teaching programs to maintain high standards of education;
  • Develop and implement staff development programs to enhance knowledge and skills;
  • Assume responsibility for discipline matters beyond classroom teachers and year-level coordinators;
  • Contribute to the overall management and governance of the school.

Essential Requirements:

  • Holding provisional or full registration from the relevant teaching authority;
  • Mastery of literacy and numeracy skills, as demonstrated by passing the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements if graduated after 1 July 2016;

Working Conditions:

  • This is a tenure-based appointment with a fixed term of 4 years;
  • Appointment is subject to a satisfactory pre-employment conditions check;
  • A probationary period may apply during the first year of employment, accompanied by induction and support programs.
