Understanding Agricultural Fire Risk

A significant number of Victoria's fires occur in agricultural areas. Damages to crops, farm infrastructure, and livestock have a significant impact on the livelihoods of farming communities where these fires occur.

  • We aim to document and develop an understanding of the primary drivers of agricultural fire.
  • We also aim to identify risks, including organisational risks to CFA, and make recommendations for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

This project is currently open for Expressions of Interest. Project teams responding to this call are required to submit their response in a project proposal of up to eight pages, clearly addressing the requirements of this EOI.

Job Responsibilities
  • Document and develop an understanding of the primary drivers of agricultural fire.
  • Identify risks, including organisational risks to CFA.
  • Making recommendations for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and best practices.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in research and data analysis. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
