As a technician in our state-of-the-art prawn farm in Proserpine, you will play a vital role in producing high-quality Australian Black Tiger Prawns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily water quality sampling and analysis for hatchery and pond management.
  • Manage microalgae growth and conduct microscopic observations.
  • Perform larvae feeding, assessments, and broodstock breeding performance monitoring.
  • Prepare detailed reports on water quality metrics and hatchery activities.
  • Collaborate with the team to execute the daily production plan safely and efficiently.
  • Uphold the highest standards of biosecurity and a zero-harm safety culture.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A fast learner with strong mathematical aptitude and observational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An adaptable and resilient attitude suited to a fast-paced working environment.
  • Relevant experience in prawn farming is advantageous.
  • Must have a current driver's licence, own reliable transport, and full Australian working rights.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
