Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned Senior HSE Advisor to join our team on a Tunnel lining construction project in remote NSW. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a positive and safe culture on high-risk civil work sites.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing senior-level HSE support, including the integration and application of cultural and behavioural frameworks
  • Maintaining and reviewing Project HSE Management Plans (including Emergency Response Plan)
  • Delivering company and client HSE programmes
  • Creating project-specific toolbox topics to address HSE issues and facilitating toolbox meetings
  • Cultivating and influencing site employees
  • Managing hazard and risk management tools to reinforce safe behaviours
  • Conducting incident investigations and identifying causal factors
  • Leading HSE inspections with site personnel and coaching participants in identifying hazards and controls
  • Setting up, monitoring, and reviewing HSE registers

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar Senior HSE position within large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Prior experience with high-risk tunnelling and/or FRP projects is essential
  • Formal OSH qualifications, such as Cert IV or Diploma, are mandatory
  • The ability to communicate confidently with all stakeholder levels
