About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Technician to join our Process Maintenance department at Leonora Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting refrigeration systems to ensure their proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct refrigeration maintenance according to OEM specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Prioritize and complete tasks based on maintenance schedules.
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate with supply, maintenance, and camp personnel for optimal equipment performance.
  • Minimize equipment downtime through adherence to high-quality work standards.
  • Provide air conditioning/refrigeration system works and assist with emergency repairs.
  • Manage refrigerant gas use and storage in compliance with regulations.
  • Submit Pronto work requests for maintenance planning.
  • Maintain electrical logbook entries and test sheets for new installations.
  • Install, service, repair, and maintain mining facility refrigeration systems.
  • Inspect systems for issues like leaks or malfunctions.

Requirements
  • Experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical and refrigeration equipment commonly installed in mine camps and infrastructure.
  • Current unencumbered 'C' Class Driver's Licence.
  • Electrical Trade Qualification.
  • Refrigeration Mechanic Qualifications (ie. Cert III Refrigeration Mechanic).
  • Refrigerant Handling License.
  • WA Electrical Workers Licence – A Grade.
  • Driver's License (C Class, Manual Car), minimum.
