FACEM Locum Opportunity in Alice Springs

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Specialist to join our team in Alice Springs, providing high-quality care to patients in a unique and challenging environment.

About the Opportunity

  • Work in a dynamic and fast-paced Emergency Department, serving a population of over 50,000 people with a high percentage of Aboriginal patients.
  • Experience a wide range of medical conditions, including rheumatic heart disease, bronchiectasis, and chronic liver disease.
  • Enjoy a unique cultural experience, working with a young population and contributing to the health and well-being of the local community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, ensuring the highest standards of care.

Requirements

  • AHPRA specialist registration in Emergency Medicine.
  • Experience working in a remote or rural setting, with a strong understanding of Aboriginal health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
