About the Role

The Senior Contract Specialist will play a pivotal role in overseeing the procurement, contract management, and vendor management for key infrastructure projects within the region. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong expertise in managing multi-million-dollar contracts, specifically for transport-related infrastructure.

The successful candidate will contribute directly to the growth of the community by ensuring the effective delivery of essential infrastructure that supports long-term regional development.

This role will require a mix of strategic oversight and practical involvement in contract delivery.

  • Implement and manage procedures for effective project and contract management concerning externally delivered works.
  • Prepare and manage contract documentation for both maintenance and construction works, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and legislation.
  • Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of civil construction contracting, ensuring that construction risks are identified and mitigated during the contracting process.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Assist with financial planning, modelling, and budgeting advice.
  • Prepare and submit expenditure and progress reports on projects.
  • Provide assistance preparing grant submissions for infrastructure projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, sharing knowledge on best practices in contract administration and project management.
