Lithgow City Council is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Handyman to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Key Responsibilities- Perform maintenance, repairs, and construction of Council's infrastructure and assets as required.
- Estimate materials and quantities for jobs, operate power tools, and seek quotes from contractors.
- Liaise with Works Coordinator/Storekeeper to acquire necessary materials and arrange orders for purchase.
- Assist in programming preventative maintenance for longevity of Council and public assets.
- Ensure buildings are maintained in accordance with Health and Safety Standards.
- Work collaboratively with the Trades team and maintain positive working relationships.
- Trade qualifications and/or relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry.
- Working at heights ticket, Class C Drivers Licence, and WHS Induction for General Construction Ticket (Whitecard).
- Demonstrated commitment to principles of honesty and integrity, and commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety.
- Competitive salary between $1,142.50 and $1,263.25 per week, commensurate with skills, qualifications, and experience.
- Permanent, Full-time, 38 hours per week.
