Job Title: Quarry Maintenance Supervisor

The role of the Quarry Maintenance Supervisor is a critical one, requiring an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and previous experience in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the quarry is adequately maintained and stock levels of components and consumables are maintained for fixed and mobile plant.
  • Coordinate all maintenance activities including shutdowns.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are operating well within statutory requirements.
  • Ensure adequate records are maintained and regular maintenance procedures are followed on all plant and equipment.
  • Monitor improvements to maintenance tasks and processes or plant performance.

Requirements:

  • Possess a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Have a trade qualification (preferred but not necessary).
  • Have experience in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiar with using SAP CMMS and have a strong grasp of MS Excel.
  • Results focussed, self-motivated, and total commitment to risk management and Zero Harm, understanding safety systems, work methods, and risk assessments.
  • Team player who can multi-task and make quick effective decisions under pressure.
  • Positive presence in building strong and effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Natural problem solver and enjoy carrying out root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
