Experienced Carpenter Required for Residential Construction Projects

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and qualified Carpenter to join our construction projects full-time. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring all work is completed to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials, including framing walls, doors, windows, and staircases.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
- Install fixtures such as windows, frames, flooring, trim, and hardware.
- Evaluate compliance with building codes and health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals, including electricians and plumbers, to complete projects efficiently.
- Estimate materials needed and provide accurate timelines for carpentry work.
- Troubleshoot and repair existing frameworks and structures.
- Work independently or as part of a team to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in carpentry, preferably within residential or commercial construction.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and coordinate with other trades.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations in the construction industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle unexpected challenges.
- A positive attitude, with a willingness to learn and improve.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, supervisors, and co-workers.
