About the Role

This Strategic Trader and Quantitative Analyst will play a key role in our trading team, working closely with traders, technologists, and researchers to develop and implement new electronic strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical background, with experience writing code to process and analyze large sets of data, especially in Python.

A solid understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, as well as excellent communication skills, is also essential.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement new electronic trading strategies using quantitative research and data analysis.
  2. Work closely with the trading, technology, and research teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
  3. Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities.
  4. Collaborate with other researchers and strategists to brainstorm new ideas and improve existing ones.
  5. Monitor and optimize the performance of existing trading strategies.

Requirements

  • Honours or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or Economics.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent logical reasoning.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both in the ability to understand others and to make yourself clearly understood.
  • Experience writing code to process and analyze large sets of data, especially in Python.
  • Demonstrated interest in strategic games and/or competitive activities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
