We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our team at our Moura/Baralaba operations.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that requires strong supervision and management skills. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the effective delivery of haulage operations under our haulage and train load out contract.

  • This includes ensuring compliance with client, regulatory, and company responsibilities, including safety.
  • You will lead a team of operators and supervise staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their tasks.

Safety is a top priority at Qube Bulk, and as an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe working environment.

This position involves:

  • Undertaking regular on-the-job observations and coaching to develop employees' safety skills.
  • Ensuring that all employees understand and adhere to QUBE Procedures and Policies, as well as those related to Client Operations.
  • Managing vehicle and driver compliance with relevant HSE, Client, NHVR, and Qube policies and procedures.
  • Organizing and scheduling operators to meet daily haulage requirements and targets.
  • Managing production and mechanical breakdown issues.
  • Providing comprehensive reporting to the management team on haulage achievements, challenges, and issues.
  • Providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to site personnel.
  • Maintaining a working environment that prioritizes safety while delivering outstanding service.
  • Developing relationships with key stakeholders on site.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in the Mining and/or heavy transport industry in a similar role.
  • Previous experience working in haulage and achieving production targets.
  • Experience successfully managing and leading a team.
  • Good knowledge and experience of best practice in mining and road transport operations.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as Standard 11 Mining Induction, Mining Supervisor S123, and G2 Risk Facilitator Qualifications.
  • Diploma or degree in a related field would be highly regarded.
