About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Mobile Plant Mechanic. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a globally recognized company and gain hands-on experience in the maintenance and repair of mobile plant equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fault finding and resolving mechanical issues, including repairs, removals, and installations
  • Troubleshooting braking systems, steering, and cooling systems
  • Maintenance of equipment, including brakes and suspension
  • Assembling, fitting, cleaning, and lubricating machined parts using a range of tools and equipment
  • Troubleshooting electrical faults and completing electrical systems
  • Preparing new machines for sales teams
  • Completing scheduled servicing
  • Machine and component rebuilds
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic faults
Requirements
  • Keen interest in mobile plant equipment and heavy vehicle repair and maintenance
  • Ability to assess workplace risk
  • Enthusiastic and strong work ethic
  • Computer literacy for service reports, parts, and schematics
  • Able to obtain a police clearance
  • Current driver's license preferred but not essential
Training and Development

TAFE studies will be completed in blocks, and commitment is essential for progression in this apprenticeship.
