Physiotherapist Role

The Sunnybank Private Hospital is seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join its allied health team.

This casual position involves providing comprehensive physiotherapy services to varied diagnostic groups, assisting with treatment of acute inpatients, and participating in program development and quality improvement activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maximising the performance of patients adopting a client-centred and goal-directed approach.
  • Providing support to other physiotherapists and/or students.
  • Having opportunities for both weekday and weekend cover roles.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical practice skills, well-developed communication skills, and autonomy in work practice. Previous hospital experience is recommended, especially on weekends where autonomy and excellent clinical skills and knowledge of hospital patient conditions are required.

Selection Criteria:

  • Bachelor in physiotherapy or equivalent.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Excellent organisation time management and self-management skills.

Applicants should have skills with management of acute and subacute neurological orthopaedic and reconditioning/restorative patients. ICU/CCU experience is favourable including the management of ventilated patients.
