Haematology Laboratory Manager
This role is responsible for managing the laboratory to provide an efficient and effective service across operational management, compliance management, financial planning and reporting, department performance monitoring and reporting, corporate risk management, human resources management and strategic planning.
The Haematology Laboratory Manager will be responsible for testing across Full Blood Counts, Coagulation, Special Haemostasis, Morphology, Flow Cytometry and Cellular Therapies, contributing to high-quality patient care in a 24/7 Haematology Laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the laboratory to provide an efficient and effective service
- Contribute to high-quality patient care in a 24/7 Haematology Laboratory
- Lead a team of scientists to achieve high-quality results
- Monitor and report on department performance
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve laboratory efficiency
- Tertiary qualifications in Science or Medical Laboratory Science
- Proven leadership and operational management skills
- Extensive experience in haematology with understanding of Routine Haematology, Coagulation, Flow Cytometry and Morphology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
