About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team in a leading Australian Software Development House. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for coaching and facilitating Agile software teams in a SAFe context.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach 1-2 Agile software teams in a SAFe context
- Facilitate communication, coordination, and cooperation on the Agile Release Train (ART)
- Help teams navigate cross-functional team dynamics, diffuse tension, and achieve results through collaboration and teamwork
- Manage multiple concurrent tasks in a highly complex environment
- Proactively adapt to change and achieve relevant Scrum Master certification (SAFe Scrum Master, CSM accreditation, PMI Agile etc.)
Requirements:
- Strong and proven people leadership skills to coach, mentor, and engage teams
- Demonstrable facilitation skills; comfortable challenging peers and senior personnel in a positive way to improve outcomes
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with ability to express complex ideas clearly
- Ability to navigate cross-functional team dynamics, diffuse tension, and achieve results through collaboration and teamwork
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks in a highly complex environment
- A proactive and adaptable approach to change
- Ability to achieve relevant Scrum Master certification (SAFe Scrum Master, CSM accreditation, PMI Agile etc.)
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role for a software development team that was applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
- Previous experience in a large-scale software delivery environment at an enterprise that was implementing SAFe
- Knowledge of development practices such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD, Release Pipelines
