We are seeking an experienced secondary tutor to join our team at Kip McGrath Education Centre in Forest Lake QLD. As a tutor, you will be responsible for teaching students using our proven methodology, tutoring students in a positive and caring manner, and using our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach students using the Kip McGrath methodology
  • Tutor students in a positive and caring manner to promote self-esteem and self-worth
  • Use our state-of-the-art software to plan and conduct face-to-face lessons
  • Be available to commit to every class you are scheduled to teach
  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with students and parents
  • Keep an accurate record online of students' progress and goals on a weekly basis
  • Provide verbal and written feedback to parents
  • Work up to 2-3 sessions a day (Monday to Saturday)

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and attributes:

  • A teaching degree or in the final year of your degree
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • A friendly, professional, and personable manner
  • Proven ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently
  • Demonstrate a positive and vibrant personality
  • Confidence using software and computers
  • Genuine love for learning and teaching
  • Reliable, high attention to detail, and strong organisational skills
  • Ability and willingness to teach both face-to-face in our Forest Lake Centre and online as required by management once you have satisfactory fulfilled the training requirements

What We Offer

As a tutor with Kip McGrath, you will have the flexibility to work outside of school hours, using our custom-built software to deliver quality lesson plans with minimal planning and marking. You will also have the opportunity to work online or in-centre, depending on your schedule and preferences.
