We are seeking an experienced Clinical Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services to adults and children with communication difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- To work predominantly using a multi-disciplinary model delivering client-centred care;
- To develop skills in communication including speech, language, and fluency as well as supporting clients to access Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to meet their communication needs;
- To work as part of a multi-disciplinary feeding team providing paediatric feeding services to children aged 0-4 years prior to school entry and addressing the health and medical needs of children aged 0-18 years;
- To provide education and training for staff within nursing homes and residential facilities around dysphagia management and IDDSI standards;
- A recognised qualification within the Speech Pathology profession;
- Eligibility for practicing membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia;
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Up to $13,000 reimbursement for relocation costs;
- 3 months free accommodation and subsidised rental accommodation for short-term contracts;
- Professional supervision within your discipline to support professional and clinical development;
- Support in developing your career journey;
- A minimum of $2000 per year for professional development and training;
- A Transition to Professional Practice Program to support allied health professionals new to rural and remote practice in their first year of practice in a rural setting;
The salary for this position is AHP1/AHP2, ranging from $34.49-$42.10 per hour + 25% casual loading or $44.45-$51.49 per hour + 25% casual loading depending on qualifications and experience.
