Disability Support Worker Job Opportunity

This is a dynamic and rewarding role that involves providing care and support to individuals with physical and other disabilities. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with clients in their homes or community settings to maximize individual wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with people with physical and other disabilities is highly desirable.

  • Job Responsibilities:
    • Provide care and support to clients living in the community
    • Work collaboratively with DSW teams and other health professionals to maximize individual wellbeing
    • Facilitate client involvement in daily activities and living skills programs across all services

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working with people with physical and other disabilities
  • Cert III in Aged Care / Certificate III in Individual Support / Cert IV Disability or equivalent
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (MANDATORY)
  • Current Police Check (MANDATORY)
  • Current First Aid Certificate (MANDATORY)
  • Current Vaccinations (MANDATORY)
  • Experience with Manual handling
  • Working with Children's Check (required)
  • Own Reliable Car & Current Licence/Insurance cover (preferable)
