The Role

Our Model Platform team is seeking a talented Junior AI Model Engineer to join us in driving cutting-edge technical solutions. This role offers hands-on experience in solving complex challenges at the heart of our product. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and work under their guidance to experiment, fine-tune, and analyze language models.

  • Assist in Model Experiments: Collaborate on designing and executing experiments for model fine-tuning (SFT, RLFT) and other adaptation techniques.
  • Data Preparation & Analysis: Help prepare and curate high-quality datasets for training and evaluation, and assist in analyzing experiment results.
  • Implement Model Components: Develop code for specific parts of the training and inference pipeline under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Contribute to Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest research papers and help the team explore novel techniques for improving model performance.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A strong academic background in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • A solid foundation in Python and a deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals, probability, and statistics.
  • Foundational knowledge of deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • A powerful sense of curiosity, a passion for solving complex technical puzzles, and an eagerness to learn from a world-class team.
