Screen and Media Educator

About the Role:

A unique teaching position has become available at a comprehensive, coeducational high school. The curriculum is innovative, framed through an inquiry and project-based learning approach, allowing students to grow in their skills, interests and aspirations.

Culture and Expectations:

Teaching Approach:

Students will have the opportunity to develop authentic projects through strong partnerships with industry, media, and community organisations. This will foster entrepreneurial thinking and creativity.

Key Requirements:
  • Approval to teach or preparedness to undertake VET teacher training in Screen and Media providing the qualification entry benchmark is met.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills to design and deliver engaging screen and media programs that utilise contemporary media technologies (film, digital production, animation, sound, interactive design, VR/AR, social media content creation).
  • Demonstrated capacity to foster entrepreneurial thinking and develop authentic projects through strong partnerships.
  • Strong organisational and assessment practices which empower students to confidently create and showcase their knowledge and skills in Screen and Media projects.
