About the Role

Lincoln Plastics is seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter to join their team in Adelaide. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery, assembly machinery, and equipment.



Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to ensure continuous operation and prevent potential safety hazards.
  • Install, align, and set up new machinery and equipment according to specifications and manufacturer instructions.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure machinery and equipment are functioning optimally and identify areas for improvement.
  • Accurately maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Support the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failures and downtime.
  • Utilize continuous improvement techniques to enhance safety, efficiency, and quality in the maintenance process.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and equipment installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
  • PLC programming experience is highly regarded.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in mechanical fitting, maintenance, or engineering.
  • Understanding of OH&S and ISO requirements.
