About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Specialist to join our team at Olam Agri. As a key member of our Safety team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing safety strategies across our sites, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and conduct training packages and toolbox talks to promote a safety culture
- Provide feedback and coaching to site supervisors and managers to ensure compliance with WHS legislation
- Conduct safety inductions for seasonal workforce and perform audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement
- Support the General Manager to develop and review primary procedures and other documentation
Requirements
- 5+ years' experience in a similar position in process manufacturing, logistics or farming environment
- Qualification in Health & Safety (min Cert IV WHS) or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of QLD & NSW WHS legislation
- Experience with Incident investigation (using e.g. ICAM)
- Proven experience in developing and writing primary procedures and other safety documentation
