We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Second Engineer to join our team at Port of Brisbane. As a key member of our Marine team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our dredging vessel.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out engineering watch keeping duties during duty periods
- Perform scheduled and breakdown maintenance and housekeeping as required by the Chief Engineer
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Engineer and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of the vessel
- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance and repair plans
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Current qualification as AMSA Engineer Class 2 certificate of competency
- Current AMSA certificate of Medical Fitness
- Thorough knowledge of the ISM code as it relates to Engineering and the Maintenance of the Ship and Equipment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership
- Resilience and ability to work effectively in a small team environment
- Ability to fault find and trouble shoot effectively
- Prior experience in dredging is highly desirable
