Job Description

\

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Ryde and surrounding suburbs. In this role, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based clinical assessments and developing treatment plans to promote independence and improve functional abilities.

\

You will work closely with participants to identify their strengths and areas for improvement, and develop strategies to address these needs. This may involve delivering therapeutic interventions, recommending assistive technology solutions, and supporting environmental adaptations.

Key Responsibilities

\
  • Absorb evidence-based clinical assessments of participants' emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental, and physical levels of function and capacity.
  • Formulate treatment goals tailored to each participant based on your findings.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions that promote independence and improve functional abilities.
  • Support and advise on environmental adaptations, including home, school, work, and residential facilities.
  • Recommend Assistive Technology solutions to help participants overcome limitations and enhance their quality of life.

Requirements

\
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
  • Desire to work in a fun, collaborative, and supportive environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
