Assistant Night Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Night Manager to join our hotel team. As a key member of the Front Office, you will be responsible for overseeing overnight operations, ensuring a smooth and secure guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guest Satisfaction: Ensure guests are greeted upon arrival and make time to interact effectively with guests, responding appropriately to complaints and soliciting feedback.
  • Team Performance: Drive performance related to the hotel's soft skills, focusing on Guest Love, Loyalty Recognition, and Problem Handling.
  • Action Planning: Assist in developing and implementing quarterly action plans to achieve optimum guest satisfaction through Heartbeat and social media initiatives.
  • Audit Compliance: Ensure IHG metric tools/audits are used and monitored to ensure total guest satisfaction and hotel compliance with brand standards.
  • Mentorship: Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to colleagues to enhance their performance and drive development.
  • Staffing: Plan for future staffing needs, completing all stages of IHG Recruitment on-boarding.
  • Teamwork: Support teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
  • Cash Handling: Ensure all credit and financial transactions are handled in a secure manner, maintaining cashiers float and hotel safe.
Requirements:
  • Citizenship: Full working rights in Australia without restrictions.
  • Experience: Prior experience working at a luxury hotel is preferred.
  • Certifications: Mandatory certifications include RSA, First Aid Qualifications, and Drivers License.
  • Education: Tertiary qualifications in Hotel Management and/or Business Administration related field are preferred.
  • Priorities: Passion for providing luxury experiences, not shy to go above and beyond to personalize guests' stays and provide local wisdom to enhance their experience.
  • Availability: Ongoing availability to work flexibly as rostered, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Grooming: Impeccable grooming standards and good personal hygiene.
  • Communication: Good communication and writing skills.
  • Relationships: Ability to manage complex relationships and demonstrate ability to interact with guests, staff, and third parties that reflects highly on the Hotel, the brand, and IHG.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical fitness as you'll be on your feet most of the day.
