Position Overview
As a Kitchen Support Staff, your responsibilities will include assisting in meal preparation, serving food, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen while adhering to food safety standards. As a Housekeeping Attendant, you will ensure that all areas are hygienic and welcoming, contributing to a pleasant environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Additionally, as a Laundry Care Specialist, you will manage the laundering of linens and residents' clothing, ensuring they are returned in excellent condition. In this role, you will provide person-centered care and engage with residents in a way that enhances their overall quality of life, ensuring they feel valued and respected.
We are looking for a motivated individual who is passionate about this field to join our Relief Team. The ideal candidate should be available for work during weekdays and possess the flexibility to cover both planned and unplanned absences across our various residential facilities.
The successful applicant will be offered a casual employment opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
- Assist with kitchen operations, including food preparation and portion control.
- Maintain high cleanliness standards in cooking areas and equipment.
- Perform cleaning duties such as vacuuming, dusting, and maintaining resident rooms and communal areas.
- Manage residents' laundry, ensuring proper washing and timely return of clothing.
- Oversee bed linen management, ensuring it is laundered and labeled correctly.
- Respect residents' privacy and property.
- Utilize equipment safely and adhere to personal protective equipment protocols.
- Comply with Juniper's Occupational Safety and Health policies.
Essential Qualifications:
- Current WA Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Unlimited working rights.
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in a commercial or aged care setting.
- Knowledge of safe handling procedures for relevant chemicals.
- Understanding of infection control protocols.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
