Regional Controls Engineer

The role of Regional Controls Engineer is crucial for developing and implementing standards for control systems across various data centers. This position will work closely with the control team to establish and maintain consistent standards, ensuring seamless integration and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Standard Development: Collaborate with the control team to create and implement new and existing standards for control systems.
- Design Review: Conduct thorough reviews of design and equipment submissions for new data centers to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Risk Identification: Identify potential risks within Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) in operational data centers.
- Automation Controls: Review and identify risks within automation controls drawings, wiring diagrams, controls logic programming, and graphical user interface.
- Site-Specific Control Infrastructure: Review proposed changes to site-specific control infrastructure against AWS Data Center standards and document accepted deviations when necessary.
- Sequence of Operation: Review Colo and Hybrid controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design teams.
- Control System Upgrades: Support the design for existing data center control system upgrades, focusing on capacity, availability, and efficiency improvements.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and create Corrective Action (CA) documentation for site/equipment failures related to control equipment.
- Audits and Site Reviews: Conduct site audits of data centers, including producing reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediation.
- Construction and Commissioning: Support construction, commissioning, and turnover for Controls in new construction projects.
