Job Title: IT Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's IT systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • User Support: Provide timely and effective support to users across all levels of the organization, resolving technical issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure seamless delivery of services and timely resolution of issues.
  • Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy workstations, servers, network switches, routers, firewalls, encryption, host security systems, printers, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Capacity Planning: Assist in capacity planning, identifying and evaluating new technologies, and recommending solutions to meet business needs, including disaster recovery.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize utilization of existing infrastructure to best support business needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in MS Windows Server 2016/19, SQL 2012+, Exchange 2013+, and Exchange Online Server Administration.
  • Cloud Experience: Experience working in Microsoft and cloud-based environments, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, and mobile device management (MDM).
  • Platform Knowledge: Knowledge of modern platforms and experience with VMware Esxi, Nutanix AHV, and system backup and recovery (Cohesity Cloud Backup).
  • Network Management: Network management skills (TCP/IP, LAN/WAN/VLAN, VPN, DHCP, DNS, Meraki Firewall, Fibre Optic) and Defender EndPoint Protection.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with knowledge and experience in creating/maintaining group policies and security policies.
  • Scripting Skills: Advanced scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell, and experience with hybrid environment device and user onboarding/offboarding highly regarded.
