About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Brisbane team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and delivering a range of greenfield and brownfield projects. Your expertise in mechanical and piping design, project management, and stakeholder coordination will be instrumental in driving our client's growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide design and engineering input for various projects, from concept through to commissioning.
  • Undertake mechanical and piping design tasks and generate engineering deliverables in line with project and statutory requirements.
  • Interpret and work with technical documentation including specifications, drawings, and reports.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones, addressing potential issues proactively.
  • Manage multiple projects, adhering to deadlines and delivering high-quality outputs.
  • Prepare calculations, reports, and technical evaluations, and develop scopes of work for tender processes when needed.
  • Conduct risk assessments and design reviews, ensuring environmental and safety compliance throughout the engineering process.
  • Assist with construction and commissioning, including occasional site-based work.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction, mining, minerals processing, power, or similar heavy industries.
  • Proven experience in mechanical and piping design, with materials handling and design experience in mineral processing plants being advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, calculation formulas, and mechanical methods & processes.
  • Familiarity with AS, ISO, or similar standards.
  • A strong HSE focus and commitment to safety principles.
  • Technical expertise and enthusiasm for career development within a growing team.
