Fairness Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced steward to maintain fairness, transparency, and compliance across all codes of racing.

• Enforce the rules of racing and provide critical support to the chairman of stewards.
• Conduct thorough reviews of race days, trials, inspections, and inquiries to ensure integrity and accuracy.
• Monitor betting activities, conduct post-race assessments, and facilitate the appeals process.
• Lead the preparation and despatch of swabbing samples in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Mentor less experienced stewards on regulatory matters, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to clubs, officials, and industry stakeholders on regulatory issues.
• Manage administrative tasks related to stewards' records, race field information, and regulatory databases with precision.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A comprehensive understanding of the rules of racing and principles of natural justice and procedural fairness.
• Proven experience in conducting inquiries and investigations, with a focus on integrity and transparency.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
• The ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Excellent time management, self-management, and organisational skills, ensuring seamless execution of duties.
• Sound written and verbal communication skills, including conflict resolution and consultation.
