Job Role

The Team Leader plays a key role in overseeing the deployment teams at RMIT.

This includes attending meetings with clients, reporting back to management and developing workflows as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily activities of the Deployment Technician Teams, providing ongoing advice, training and development to ensure effective delivery of deployment services.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for our customers and onsite team, taking ownership of escalation issues and expediting resolution.
  • Develop and implement Service Improvement Plans to address areas where team performance is inadequate, including documenting procedures and processes.
  • Performance management and target setting of individual team members, including clear objectives and monitoring results.
  • Support commercial viability of the team by ensuring they operate within compliance frameworks and identifying risk.
  • Generate Operational Reports to Management on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a team lead role.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use reporting tools.
  • Good understanding of how universities operate and higher education.
  • Genuine care for building staff working capacity and ability to mentor technicians.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
