Job Overview

The Rotational Hospital Pharmacist plays a critical role in supporting our pharmacy network across the Hunter and Mid-Coast regions.


This position requires a highly skilled pharmacist to provide backup coverage during staff leave or periods of high demand, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care services.


Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough medication chart reviews and reconcile medications to ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate patient medication requirements for inpatient stays, day infusions, and discharge.
  • Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with key stakeholders to deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Support patients, carers, hospital staff, and associated employees in their medication management needs.
  • Educate and advise staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection, and proper medicine usage.

Requirements
  • General registration with AHPRA without any practice restrictions.
  • A current driver's licence and a roadworthy vehicle suitable for purpose.
  • Ability to commit to frequent travel.
