We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled HR Generalist Lead to join our dynamic national People & Development team on a 12-month parental leave cover.

This key role will support the attraction, retention, engagement of staff in line with our business principles and objectives.

Main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting Partners and managers in talent management, performance management, training, coaching, and IR/ER issues
  • Managing the development and implementation of HR policies, programs, and coaching the business through change and culture initiatives
  • Ensuring compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation
  • Executing annual processes, including performance reviews, promotions, and employee engagement surveys
  • Actively participating in strategic projects to support organisational goals and continuous improvement
  • Supporting employee wellbeing and escalating employee relations issues
  • Collaborating with P&D Managers for consistent information flow

About You

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong background in HR business partnering with at least 5 years' experience as a generalist in a professional services firm.

You should be able to demonstrate commercial awareness, relationship-building skills, and attention to detail.

Required skills include:

  • Experience working in complex professional environments
  • Good understanding of employment legislation and contemporary HR practices
  • Strong commercial acumen and outcome-focused management
  • Proactive, engaging, and excellent service delivery
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline

The salary for this role is estimated to be around $140,000 - $160,000 per annum, depending on experience.
