Protecting people and the environment is a complex task that requires a unique blend of challenge, purpose, and opportunity. We seek an experienced Fire Systems Electrical Technician to join our team in Port Hedland.

The Fire Systems Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our personnel and operations. This will involve working across critical fire systems and electrical equipment, maintaining them to the highest standards and ensuring they are reliable and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain & Record: Accurate service records and databases are essential for our team's success. You will be responsible for maintaining these records to the highest standard.
  • Plan & Coordinate: Work with your team to schedule and complete maintenance with minimal downtime. Effective planning and coordination are crucial to achieving this goal.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Support and upskill your teammates to ensure strong coverage and collaboration across the team.
  • Site Audits: Regularly check systems to identify risks and maintain safety excellence. Your keen eye for detail will be invaluable in this regard.
  • Reporting: Provide clear, useful reports so everyone has the information they need to make informed decisions.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly troubleshoot and resolve faults with confidence. Your analytical skills will be essential in resolving any issues that arise.
  • Continuous Improvement: Bring forward your ideas for upgrades, innovations, and smarter ways of working. Your input will help drive our continuous improvement efforts.

Experience testing, inspecting, and maintaining fire protection systems (AS1851-2012) is highly valued. Additionally, hands-on capability across pumps, sprinklers, extinguishers, hydrants, and hose reels will be beneficial in this role.
