Key Responsibilities

As a skilled Light Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing general repairs on brake, steering, and suspension components. This will include conducting routine vehicle maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

You will also be required to perform diagnostics using advanced tools and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Additionally, you will be responsible for electrical installations and repairs, including battery replacements and wiring work.

Other key responsibilities include executing wheel alignments with precision, performing suspension upgrades and modifications, and liaising with customers to explain repairs and provide estimates.

You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all service work and repairs, ensuring all work complies with safety standards and regulations, and assisting in inventory management and maintaining workshop cleanliness.

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Automotive
  • Experience as an automotive technician (1-2 years post-certification preferred)
  • Proficient in wheel alignments and suspension systems
  • Strong diagnostic skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Ability to work well in a team and a willingness to learn
  • Full Australian Drivers' Licence (manual & automatic)
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
