Role Overview
Migrant Trainer & Assessor
The primary objective of this position is to engage with local migrant church leaders and congregants to foster relationships and partnerships that enhance the learning experiences of everyday Christians. This role involves establishing and nurturing connections with mentors from various partner churches.
Key Responsibilities
- Initiate outreach to potential partner churches to create new training collaborations.
- Enhance existing partnerships by actively developing and strengthening relationships.
- Deliver biblical teachings in accordance with VBC courses and doctrinal guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive training records and documentation.
- Collaborate with workplace mentors to ensure alignment between classroom and practical training.
- Engage in the review and enhancement of VBC courses, contributing to content development.
- Provide pastoral support to learners, fostering a nurturing environment while ensuring confidentiality.
- Promote VBC within church communities and provide updates to the VBC Principal.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals who are:
- Committed Christians and active church members, fully aligned with VBC's Mission, Vision, and doctrinal beliefs.
- Evangelistic in their approach and supportive of VBC's ministry philosophy.
- Possessing an Advanced Diploma of Christian Ministry & Theology or equivalent qualifications.
- Certified in Training and Assessment (Certificate IV) or equivalent.
- Dedicated to the Scriptures as the authoritative word of God.
- Experienced in training, assessment, teaching, and organizational skills.
- Familiar with church leadership dynamics.
- Able to effectively communicate with individuals from diverse migrant backgrounds in Australia.
- Organized and confident in initiating contacts, following up, and planning travel itineraries.
- Proficient in using technology for teaching and presentations.
- Knowledgeable about contemporary Christian ministry practices among everyday Christians.
- Experienced in engaging with everyday individuals in ministry contexts.
Additional Information
This role offers a travel and communications allowance, with a commitment of 1-2 days per week, with potential for increased hours in the future. It is a newly established, responsible, and autonomous position within a supportive environment, including at least one monthly meeting (online or in person) with the Principal.
