Job Title:

Home Care Assistant

Description:

This role involves providing domestic support services to clients in their own homes. Your duties will include cleaning, laundry, and personal care, as well as assisting with shopping and meal preparation.

You must be prepared to travel within reason and visit multiple homes per day. You will have access to a supportive service coordination team available 24/7.

Typical duties for this role will include:

  • Cleaning and disinfecting floors, toilets, showers, basins, and mirrors
  • Assisting with dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
  • Washing laundry, folding, and putting away
  • Providing general companionship and spending quality time with clients

Requirements for this role include:

  • Minimum availability of 15 hours per week and consistency across the working week
  • Valid driver's licence, reliable roadworthy vehicle, and comprehensive car insurance
  • Willingsness to travel in and around the Bellarine Peninsula region

  • Experience in commercial or domestic cleaning
  • Current driver's licence and regular access to a vehicle
  • Current First Aid Certificate (within 3 years) and CPR qualification (within 12 months), or willingness to obtain
