Nurse Care Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at VMCH. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and formulate care plans for residents, working collaboratively with the care team to ensure individualized care.
- Provide supervision and direction to Personal Care Assistants, empowering them to provide the best possible care.
- Ensure compliance with residential Aged Care Standards, AN-ACC requirements, and other relevant legislation.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, demonstrating exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, including day, afternoon, and evening shifts, and weekends.
Requirements
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, with relevant qualification and experience.
- Experience assessing Aged Care Residents and formulating Care Plans.
- Understanding and working knowledge of Commonwealth, State, and Territory legislation and nursing practices.
- First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with residents, families, employees, and volunteers.
