Credit Risk Analyst

The role of a Credit Underwriter involves processing, verifying, and deciding on residential mortgage credit submissions. This includes determining the suitability of security, appropriate Loan to Valuation ratios, making recommendations on loans outside of delegated limits, and providing high-quality service to support distribution channels in achieving targets while maintaining a focus on risk management and compliance with credit policy.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse, verify, and decide on residential loan proposals
- Exercise commercial acumen to ensure all submissions satisfy bank policies and legislative guidelines
- Build relationships with internal and external customers
- Serve as a reference point for lending inquiries and assist with training and development
- Maintain compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
- Process credit-related applications efficiently
- Maintain quality assurance results
This position requires a strong understanding of banking regulations, financial analysis, and risk assessment. A Credit Underwriter must be able to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
